Under the ES 350 hood, a 3.5-litre engine generates 302 horsepower, a gain of 34 horsepower over last year’s model. Rising by 19 lb-ft, the new ES 350 generates 267 lb-ft of torque. Highway fuel economy is 7.7 L/100KM. The hybrid earns 5.3L/100 km in combined city/highway driving. Lexus reduced the size of the battery and has tucked it under the back seat.
The ES 350 and 400h have dynamic control shocks. These use adjustable dampers to smooth the ride, giving you a truly luxury experience. On the F Sport, Lexus replaces that system with an Adaptive Variable Suspension.
Drivers will benefit from Lexus Safety System-Plus. A comprehensive pre-collision system has an automatic braking system, a pedestrian watch, a forward collision warning, and new daytime bicyclist detection. Lexus has updated the Lane Departure Alert with a new Lane Trace Assist. This gives the driver some semi-autonomous driving assistance. It is matched with the Lexus Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
